Conventional lecture-based pedagogy often positions students as passive learners, which may reduce engagement and limit the development of critical thinking. This research aimed to analyze the implementation of peer tutoring and evaluate its impact on students’ learning motivation. This study employed a qualitative case study approach conducted in a vocational high school. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and documentation analysis. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion-drawing techniques to ensure systematic interpretation. The findings revealed that peer tutoring had a positive impact on students’ learning motivation. Effective implementation was supported by structured planning, including tutor selection and adaptation to students’ learning characteristics. Increased motivation was reflected in higher participation, enthusiasm, and improved peer interaction. Additionally, students who acted as tutors demonstrated enhanced self-efficacy and confidence. These improvements contributed to better learning outcomes in Islamic education. The originality of this study lies in its focus on peer tutoring within the context of Islamic education, which remains underexplored. However, this study was limited to a single research setting and a qualitative approach, which may restrict the generalizability of the findings.
2026-01-10T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Muhammad Azamuddin Syahapala, amelia putri adiana, Ayok Ariyanto, Azid Syukronihttps://ejournal.tahtamedia.id/nusantara/article/view/222The Application of Educational Administration Functions in Improving the Quality of Elementary Schools2026-06-18T07:32:02+07:00Ita Rusianarusiana123@gmail.comImam MuhayatItawicaksono174@gmail.com
This study aims to analyze and describe the implementation of educational administrative functions based on the POAC framework (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling) and its contribution to improving school quality at SDIU Sahabat Madiun, East Java. School quality is measured through improvements in teacher competence and student academic achievement in accordance with the National Education Standards (SNP). This study employs a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques included participatory observation over a one-month period, semi-structured interviews with the principal and teachers, and a documentary review of the School Work Plan (RKS) and school program documents. Data analysis utilized the Miles and Huberman model, which encompasses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the four POAC functions have been implemented systematically and in an integrated manner. The Planning function is realized through the establishment of measurable quality targets via the RKS and RKAS. The Organizing function is reflected in the formation of an accountable internal quality assurance team (SPMI). The Execution function is carried out through the principal’s transformational leadership, accompanied by in-house training programs for teachers. The Monitoring function is carried out through continuous academic supervision, in which evaluation results are used as feedback for the next planning cycle. It is concluded that the application of POAC-based educational administration functions contributes significantly to the continuous improvement of quality at SDIU Sahabat.
2026-01-15T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Ita Rusiana, Imam Muhayathttps://ejournal.tahtamedia.id/nusantara/article/view/221The Implementation of Educational Oversight to Improve Teacher Performance and the Quality of Education in Islamic Boarding Schools2026-05-14T18:20:44+07:00Zainabzainabalkarimah8@gmail.comAhmad Masruhan Zakariyazainabalkarimah8@gmail.com
This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of educational supervision in improving teacher performance and the quality of education at the Nashrus Sunnah Islamic Boarding School, Madiun City. The method applied in this study is qualitative with a focus on case studies. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and data analysis related to teacher development programs. Information analysis was carried out by applying the Miles and Huberman model which consisted of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to obtain valid and comprehensive results. The results of this study used the interview method, consisting of the main parts that are in accordance with the research objectives, including 1. Planning and pre-observation, 2. observation and supervision, 3 Supervision of administration, and 4. evaluation and feedback. The findings obtained from this study show that supervision at the Nashrus Sunnah Islamic Boarding School is carried out systematically through regular academic, clinical, and coaching supervision. This supervision has been proven to be able to improve teachers' skills in compiling teaching materials, choosing more varied methods, and improving classroom management and learning assessment. Furthermore, this supervision has a positive impact on the quality of education, which can be seen from the increase in student participation and the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. This study concludes that the implementation of educational supervision at Nashrus Sunnah Islamic Boarding School has been proven to be significant for improving teacher performance and overall quality of education.
2026-02-12T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Zainab, Ahmad Masruhan Zakariyahttps://ejournal.tahtamedia.id/nusantara/article/view/220Educational Supervision in an Integrated Islamic Boarding School2026-05-14T18:14:39+07:00Husna Hurin Asma’ AmaniinaItawicaksono174@gmail.comMuchammad Eka Mahmudhusnahurin017@gmail.com
Educational supervision at Ar-Rohmah aims to guarantee and ensure the quality of teacher performance and the implementation of academic, memorization, and extracurricular programs in accordance with established standards. Supervision is conducted through structured procedures, including classroom observations, interviews, unannounced classroom visits, completion of supervision assessment instruments, and evaluation of results documented in the form of videos, photos, and written reports. Supervision also provides opportunities for teachers to consult regarding challenges and difficulties in learning as well as other supporting facilities and resources. The approach used is qualitative, involving interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis using thematic analysis techniques. Findings from the study indicate that the implementation of supervision is not yet optimal because there are no expert supervisors who specialize in the specific fields of the teachers being supervised; consequently, the objectivity of the assessment remains suboptimal, and technical feedback is not sufficiently specific. As a result, improvements in the quality of learning have been less than optimal, and some teachers are still teaching outside their areas of expertise. Nevertheless, supervision continues to be carried out and helps teachers identify shortcomings in their teaching, improve their teaching methods, and enhance innovation in the classroom. Subsequent professional development programs, including regular teacher training, mentoring, and oral and written evaluations, serve as supporting measures implemented by the school. This study emphasises the need to increase the number of supervisors who are experts in their fields, improve the competence of supervisors, and strengthen evaluation mechanisms so that supervision can be conducted objectively and effectively in improving the quality of teachers and learning.
2026-03-05T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Husna Hurin Asma’ Amaniina, Muchammad Eka Mahmudhttps://ejournal.tahtamedia.id/nusantara/article/view/219The Role of Teacher Administration in Supporting the Effectiveness of Learning Activities at Islamic Boarding Schools2026-05-14T18:17:16+07:00Atikahatikah123@gmail.comFina Kholij Zukhrufinmadiunatikah@gmail.com
This study aims to analyze the influence of teacher administration on the effectiveness of teaching and learning activities at Nashrus Sunnah Islamic Boarding School Madiun, describe the implementation of teacher administration in the field, and identify institutional efforts to improve its quality. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data validity was ensured through source and methodological triangulation, while data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that teacher administration encompassing lesson plans, teaching journals, assessment rubrics, and learning documentation has a significant positive influence on the effectiveness of KBM, particularly in enhancing teaching readiness, the regularity of the learning process, student participation, and the clarity of learning indicators and evaluation. However, implementation remains suboptimal, as 10–15% of teachers still submit documents late, administrative formats are inconsistent, and dual-role burdens hinder reporting consistency, especially at the Wustha and Ulya levels. This study concludes that synergy between institutional policies and the real needs of teachers in the field is essential to realize effective, efficient, and sustainable teacher administration in the context of pesantren education, and recommends continuous mentoring, simplification of administrative formats, and dedicated time allocation for administrative tasks.
2026-04-10T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Atikah, Fina Kholij Zukhrufin
